• How many dogs do you take at once?

Our home, inclusive of our three resident dogs, accommodates a maximum of eight dogs simultaneously. This commitment ensures your dog experiences a stress-free environment and benefits from increased individual attention, distinguishing our service from traditional boarding facilities or commercial kennels – all without any additional charges.

We only take 3 boarding dogs and 2 daycare dogs at a time. We reserve the right to decline any request if we feel your dog will not do well with the current dogs in our care.

  • Are dogs supervised while outside?

Certainly, your dog will always have outdoor company, and as an extra precaution, we have outdoor cameras, along with surveillance in our kennel rooms and on each individual kennel. Ensuring the safety and well-being of your pet is our top priority. We have a main block wall surrounding our entire property and an additional fence in the background, ensuring double safety.

  • Will my dog always be in a kennel / What if my dog isn't kennel trained?

We require all dogs to be familiar with a kennel and respect the kennel - which means dogs may not jump or paw at the kennels. Dogs that hate kennels or bark excessively are not a good fit for us. Because we are home-based business, we must respect our neighbors as well as the other people in the home who work other jobs and need to sleep without barking dogs in the home.

Dogs are required to be in kennels for drop offs, pickups, meet and greets, when we are running errands or going to doctor appointments, during scheduled rest periods throughout the day and overnight.

Other than overnight, we limit kennel time to 4-5 hours per day during scheduled rest periods, feeding time and when we need to run errands. Please note that we do NOT take dogs that need constant care or who have extreme separation anxiety.

  • What vaccinations do you require?

All dogs must have up-to-date Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, & Parvo vaccinations and be on flea and tick preventative. Proof of vaccination must be provided prior to your dog's stay.

Dogs must be in good health and free from any contagious illnesses. If your dog shows signs of illness, we reserve the right to refuse accommodation.

We will accept a vaccine titer from a licensed vet.

  • What do I need to bring with my dog?

You are required to bring your dog's food along with any necessary medication or supplements. If your dog takes medication or supplements, please provide pill pockets or the specific food used to administer them. Please note that if you do not bring pill pockets or other treats to give your dog’s pills, we reserve the right to charge $1.00 per pill pocket we have to supply.

Your dog MUST wear a collar with updated information and be on a leash at all times until inside the home. (NO retractable leashes, please)

We highly suggest microchipping your dog and making sure the information is up to date.

Please note that you do NOT need to bring the following items: Bowls, treats, beds, or toys. If you choose to bring toys, please note that they may not be returned in the same state that you dropped them off as we cannot guarantee other dogs will not play with them.

  • Why do you charge by the day and not by night?

We charge on a daily basis to align with when the majority of services are provided. Our approach differs from commercial kennels and corporate boarding facilities as dogs are not confined to kennels all day. We don't charge extra for playtime, exercise, or enrichment, considering this as standard care every dog deserves.

It's important to note that, before your dog arrives and after your dog leaves, we have tasks like cleaning and disinfecting to attend to.

We do not work a typical 8-hour day and typically our tasks exceed 10-hour days, as well as ensuring our dogs are secured at night and in temperature-controlled kennels.

  • Are your policies negotiable for my special circumstance?

No. We kindly request that you carefully review our policies. If there are any aspects with which you disagree, we recommend refraining from scheduling a meet and greet. These policies are in effect to ensure the optimal care for your dogs and to establish a framework for the protection of both parties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
