Welcome to Zoey & Friends LLC. By engaging our services, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. 

Please read them carefully before making a reservation. 

Please note that these terms and conditions may change at any time without notice. 
 
We are a small, family-owned business that operates out of our home. Our business model is set up differently than a commercial or traditional business. Please respect that we provide services out of our home and integrate your dog into our family life. We have limited spots so please book in advance. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.  
 
Criteria for booking:  

 

  • Provide proof of following  up-to-date vaccinations given by a licensed vet: 

    • Rabies 

    • Bordetella 

    • DHPP (or another combination vaccination that includes Parvo & Distemper) 

    • Negative Fecal Test (once per 12 months)

  • Dog must be 12 months or older and Spayed and Neutered and be fully healed from procedure.  
      

  • Dogs must be socialized and friendly with other dogs. Dogs with prior bite histories or any aggression issues are not welcome in our home. Failure to provide information about your dog's behavior or misrepresenting your dog's behavior will result in immediate termination of services. If your dog attacks or injures any other dog on our property, you are responsible for any and all medical care that comes from the situation.  

  • Dog are required to have crate time throughout the day and must be able to settle in a kennel. Dogs that exhibit behaviors such as endlessly whining / barking, refusing to walk into a kennel, trying to break out of a kennel or any other extreme behavior will not be tolerated – please work with this with your dog before requesting a meet and greet – they don't need to be perfect but they cannot disrupt the household or destroy our property.  

  • Be free of contagious diseases and in good health before being dropped off.  We will do a brief exam and note any concerns. If your dog has been injured, went through a procedure/ surgery, or has any signs of illness, please notify us as soon as possible BEFORE your drop off time. If your dog has a contagious illness, we will not be able to accommodate them.  

 

Reservations and Bookings 

Reservations  must be made in advance. Full payment is due within 48 hours and is not secured until invoice is paid in full.  For bookings $700 or more, a payment plan can be made with a 50% deposit made up front.  
 
All bookings are subject to our approval based on compatibility with our resident dogs and available capacity. We reserve the right to refuse services to anyone at any time. 

 

Health and Vaccinations 

All dogs must have up-to-date Rabies, DHPP*, Bordetella, & Parvo vaccinations.  
All dogs must submit a negative fecal sample every 12 months 

Proof of vaccination must be provided prior to your dog's stay. Vaccination records must come from a licensed vet and records must come on a document with letter head from your current vet. We reserve the right to call and confirm records with your vet.  

*(In lieu of a DHPP vaccination – any combo vaccination that includes parvo and distemper will be accepted. Dogs must be in good health and free from any contagious illnesses. If your dog shows signs of illness, we reserve the right to refuse accommodation. 

 

Socialization Requirements 

 
All dogs are required to be friendly, sociable, and well-socialized with other dogs and people. 

 
Dogs displaying aggressive or antisocial behavior are NOT suitable for our setting. We reserve the right to decline or terminate a stay for the safety and well-being of all guests. If your dog shows any aggression and you are requested to pick your dog up and refuse to do so, a fee of $50 per day will be assessed until you pick up your dog. Failure to pay these fees will resort in a small claims court filing. Please be honest about your dog’s behavior towards other dogs.  
 
 

Medications and Special Care 

We are experienced in administering oral and topical medications. Please provide clear instructions including and necessary medications for your dog's stay. 

 
If your dog has specific medical or dietary needs or allergies, please inform us during the booking process. We reserve the right to charge extra if medication needs to be given more than 3 times daily. Please provide any treats or pill pockets needed to administer oral medication. A fee of $1 per dose will apply if you do not provide your own pill pockets.  

At this time, we do not accept dogs that need injection medication. 

 

Desert Environment and Wildlife Acknowledgment 

Zoey and Friends LLC operates a home-style dog boarding business on property located in the desert of Arizona. This environment may expose dogs to various desert environments, such as plants and animals, including but not limited to insects, reptiles, and other wildlife. While all outdoor activities are supervised, it is important to note that interactions with desert environments and plants animals are inherent to the location. By booking with Zoey and Friends LLC, the client acknowledges and accepts the inherent risks associated with our desert property. These risks include, but are not limited to, injuries, bites, stings, or other encounters that may cause harm to their dog. 

Liability Release: 
Zoey and Friends LLC, its owners, and staff are not liable for any injuries, bites, stings, or other encounters that may occur during the stay. The client fully releases Zoey and Friends LLC from any and all liability arising from such incidents. 

Veterinary Care Responsibility: 
In the event that a bite, sting, or other encounter results in the need for veterinary care, the client is solely responsible for all fees and payments associated with the treatment of their dog. Zoey and Friends LLC will not be held responsible for any veterinary expenses incurred due to encounters with desert animals. By confirming a booking with Zoey and Friends LLC, the client indicates their understanding of the risks associated with the desert environment and wildlife on the property and agrees to the terms outlined in this section. 

Personal Belongings 

We are not responsible for lost or damaged belongings. We highly recommend you do NOT bring any toys. We provide enough toys for all dogs to enjoy. If you bring any toys, please understand that they may not return home in the same condition that your brought them in.  

Payment / Scheduling 

Invoices must be paid in full to secure your dates. We charge by calendar day. You agree to pay applicable fees and charges in effect at the time your pet is brought in for care. Rate changes may or may not be posted in advance.  

We offer a 10% discount for Active-Duty Military, Veterans, National Guard and Reserve Members – Proof of service is required. 
Discounts cannot be combined with any other discounts or offers. Only applicable for families in the same household.  

You understand and are aware that our business is located at our residents and no unscheduled visits are permitted. All drop off and pick up times must be scheduled and approved during the booking process. Changes are subject to availability and may not be accommodated on short notice.  

You agree that if for any reason you need to change your drop off and pick up time, no refund or credit will be given. Additional charges will occur if you arrive after scheduled times. Changes are subject to availability. 

 
PICK UP AND DROP OFF HOURS ARE BETWEEN 8AM – 8PM 
 
Daycare is not available on holidays.  
 
Please understand that not picking your dog up at your scheduled appointment time/day, affects our schedule, other appointments, other dogs in our care and family. By planning accordingly, you will be able to avoid additional charges. All charges must be paid in full before booking additional services.  

  
You agree that drop off and pick up times are pre-scheduled based on availability and approval. If you arrive outside the agreed upon time – early or late – you will incur a $30 fee for each incident. Fees must be paid before you can book any additional services.  
 
Those who are consistently dropping off or picking up outside of scheduled appointment may not be able to book future services.  
 
** Please note that we do NOT charge per day OR 24 hours but per calendar day. 
 

Cancellations and Refunds 

Customers who wish to cancel their reservation must do so within a specified timeframe prior to the scheduled boarding period. This allows us to manage our resources effectively and accommodate other clients. Cancellations can be made by contacting our customer service team via phone or email. 

Cancellations: 

A 25% cancellation fee applies to all cancellations (calculated based on the total boarding price). Cancellations made 7 days or less from the scheduled drop-off day are non-refundable and do not qualify for credit. 

Packages 

Packages are not eligible for a refund. 

Changes in Scheduled Dates within 7 Days: 

Any changes to scheduled dates made 7 days or less from the original booking will not result in a refund or credit for removed days. 

Early Departure: 

If a customer chooses to pick up their dog before the originally scheduled departure date, no refund will be provided for the unused portion of the boarding stay. 

No-Show Policy: 

If a customer does not show up for their reserved boarding period and does not provide notice of cancellation, no refund will be issued. 

Refund Processing: 

Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 7- 10 business days from the date of the cancellation request (depending on your financial institution). Refunds will be issued using the original payment method whenever possible. 

Boarding Stay Modifications: 

Changes to the duration of the boarding stay made after the reservation is confirmed may be subject to availability and additional charges. Any adjustments to the reservation must be communicated and agreed upon in advance. 

Force Majeure: 

In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, severe weather, or other situations beyond our control that may disrupt boarding operations, we will work with affected customers to reschedule or provide a credit for future services. 

Discretionary Refunds: 

In exceptional circumstances, management may use their discretion to offer partial refunds or credits based on individual cases. 

Communication: 

Customers are responsible for ensuring that their contact information is accurate and up to date. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate any changes or updates to reservations via email or text. 

Liability and Release 

While every precaution is taken to ensure the safety and well-being of your dog, Zoey & Friends is not liable for any illness, injury, or other occurrences that may happen during your dog's stay. 

 
By using our services, you agree to release Zoey & Friends, its owners, and staff from any liability related to your dog's stay. 

Respectful Communication 

You agree to communicate in a polite, respectful, and professional manner and refrain from using abusive, offensive, or derogatory language or behavior towards staff. 
 
Any harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct towards any person involved will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of the agreement without any obligation to provide further services or refunds. 

Client Responsibility 

The Client hereby warrants and represents that: 

 
• Owner is the sole owner of Canine or the agent of the owner of Canine and is authorized to enter into this agreement. 
• Canine is in overall good health and all health conditions are outlined in questionnaire. 
• Canine is current on all vaccinations, including Rabies, DHPP (parvo/distemper), Bordetella. 
• Canine has NOT exhibited aggressive behavior towards humans or other dogs or animals. 
• Canine is socialized and friendly with other dogs 

 
NOTE: 
If you misrepresent your Canine's vaccine status, illness or behavior, you will be liable for all damages caused to other pets and humans that were affected, including (but not limited to, all costs associated with treatment, disinfecting/cleaning and medical expenses.  

Client is responsible for any and all damage that occurs due to their dog(s) to personal property and other dogs on the property. The client understands that if any damage is caused to our property, the dog(s) is(are) no longer able to be in our care and must be picked up immediately. Client understands that if their dog(s) cause damage that results in them having to be picked up early, no refunds will be giving for the remaining days. Failure to pick up their dog when requested will result in a daily fee of $50. Failure to pay any incurred fees after picking up their dog, will result in a claim being file in small claims court.  

Authorized Medical Care 

Owner authorizes and instructs Zoey and Friends to seek veterinary advice and care, including emergency care, at Owner's expense as deemed necessary by Zoey and Friends (with a veterinarian and/or veterinary hospital of Zoey and Friend's choice) for Canine's well-being. Owner is solely responsible for the payment of all medical bills and all related transportation costs and expenses associated with Canine's veterinary and/or medical care as ordered and required by Zoey and Friends. 

Abandonment 

Owner acknowledges that Owner has hereby been notified by The Provider that if Canine is not retrieved by Owner within ten (10) days of Canine's scheduled pick-up date, then The Provider may deem Canine "abandoned" as described in state law. The Provider may then relinquish custody of Canine to the nearest humane society or dog pound in the area or take such other action as permitted by State Law. Despite any such abandonment, Owner will remain liable to The Provider for all unpaid Services and care charges, as well as all fees and expenses associated with removal of Canine. Owner is further liable for any attorney's fees and costs incurred by The Provider in collection of any such charges. 

Photography and Video Permissions 

Photographic and Video Consent: 

During the stay at Zoey and Friends LLC, we may capture photographs and videos of the dogs for marketing and social media purposes. By booking with us, the client grants Zoey and Friends LLC the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use, reproduce, and publish any and all photographs and videos taken during their dog's stay for promotional, marketing, and social media content. 

Ownership and Copyright: 

 
Zoey and Friends LLC retains full ownership and copyright of all photographs and videos captured on the premises. Clients do not have any claim to ownership or copyright of these materials. 

Usage Rights: 

 
Zoey and Friends LLC reserves the right to use these photographs and videos in various promotional materials, including but not limited to the business website, social media platforms, printed materials, and any other promotional channels. 

Commission Disclaimer: 
While Zoey and Friends LLC may use these materials for marketing purposes, clients acknowledge that they are not entitled to any royalties or payments if their dog's photograph or video is used in content that generates commissions or income for Zoey and Friends LLC. 

Severability 

If any provision of this Contract is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any respect, the validity, legality, and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected or impaired. The parties shall negotiate in good faith to replace any invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision with a valid, legal, and enforceable provision that achieves, to the greatest extent possible, the original purposes and intents of the parties under this Agreement. 

Indemnification 

The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Zoey and Friends, their employees, contractors, and agents, from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with any breach of this agreement, any negligent or willful act or omission of the client or any third party engaged by the client or Canine , and any injury or damage caused by the client or any third party engaged by the client. 

Dispute Resolution and Legal Fees 

Any disputes arising out of or related to this contract shall be resolved through mediation, which shall be conducted by a neutral mediator mutually agreed upon by the parties within 60 days of written notice of a dispute. If the parties are unable to agree on a mediator, then a mediator shall be appointed by the American Arbitration Association. 

 
If the parties are unable to resolve the dispute through mediation, then the dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Casa Grande, Arizona and shall be conducted by a single arbitrator appointed by the American Arbitration Association. The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding on the parties, and judgment may be entered on the arbitration award in any court having jurisdiction thereof. c. Each party shall bear its own legal fees and costs in connection with any dispute arising out of or related to this agreement, except as otherwise provided by law. 

Owner Complete Release of Liability 

To the maximum extent under State Law, Owner unconditionally, fully and finally releases Releasees from and against any and all losses, liabilities, damages (compensatory, consequential, special and punitive damages), demands, actions, claims, lawsuits, fines, costs, expenses (including, but not limited to, attorney's fees and costs in courts of all levels and any veterinary costs and expenses for Canine) whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen and from the beginning of time to the present arising from or related in any way to any Services or actions performed by Releasees (arising out of or related to this Agreement, including, but not limited to, any negligence of Releasees) which caused and/or contributed to any injury, damage or the death of Canine while under the care of Releasees.

Agreement: 

By making a reservation with Zoey and Friends, customers agree to abide by the terms and conditions of this cancellation and refund policy.
